La Mauny A.O.C. White Rhum 

Since November 1996, Martinique agricultural rums have been benefitting from Appellation d’origine contrôlée** on their official labels. To date, Martinique is the only overseas French region to possess this distinction.

Only rums obtained by distilling fresh fermented sugarcane juice have the right to bear the appellation d’origine contrôlée Martinique, guar...anteeing orgin, on the label, followed by the term, "Rhum Agricole" (Agricultural Rum).

Agricultural rum is a liquor obtained by fermenting and distilling pure sugarcane juice, unlike industrial rum, which is fermented from the residue of molasses left over from sugar production. Agricultural rum retains the flavour and goodness of the sugarcane juice.


Appellation d’origine contrôlée (AOC), which translates as "controlled designation of origin", is the French certification granted to certain French geographical indications for wines, cheeses, butters, and other agricultural products, all under the auspices of the government bureau Institut National des Appellations d'Origine (INAO). It is based on the concept of terroir.


La Mauny A.O.C. White Rhum

The first impression of La Mauny White Rhum presents dear notes dominated by sugarcane and subtle flower notes. Next come the spicy grey pepper and lime notes. It is a highly aromatic and round rum, with an appealing smoothness. LM 40 has striking primary aromatic flavours. In terms of structure, it is frank and dynamic, the ideal basis for cocktails.
